The following hotels and villas on the US Virgin Islands are reviewed on this page:
[Caneel Bay]
The US Virgin Islands - St Croix, St John and St Thomas form the main
entry points and tourist areas. All in all, there are about 50
islands, some big, some not so big, some merely rocks jutting out of the
clear blue sea. Island hopping is great fun and gives you the
chance of seeing many more of the islands.
St Thomas is the capital of the US Virgin Islands, probably the
best-known and definitely the busiest island and cruise port. The
capital Charlotte Amalie offers some of the most comprehensive duty free
shopping in the Caribbean, and is a favourite stop for the cruise ships.
St John in comparison has a population of just 2,000
inhabitants. The lush unspoiled hill of the Virgin Islands
National Park soar up behind you, and in every direction you look you
can see the blues and greens of nature abounding.
Caneel
Bay
Caneel Bay is unique, set serenely on its own 170 acre
peninsula, and ringed by seven pristine beaches. Caneel is a
horticultural show place boasting more than 80 varieties of palms, and
hundreds of specimens of tropical flora. The resort is located
within the National Park. There are 166 guest rooms, there are 3
distinctly different restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. To
