Nevis is one of the smallest Caribbean islands to be called a nation
covering just 36 square miles and is known for its tropical surroundings

Montpelier Plantation Inn and Beach Club
As the name suggests, this hotel has come from a conversion of an old
sugar plantation and its appeal lies in its hillside garden setting and
peaceful surroundings. The hotel has a freshwater pool and its own beach
a short drive away set in three acres of landscaped grounds. There are
16 cottage-style rooms, all with private bathroom, tea and coffee making

Villas at The Hermitage
A collection of
small gingerbread cottages, painted in pastel
colours with verandahs and
white lace trim, positioned around a 250 year old Great House amidst
acres of lush, tropical gardens. Visitors may use the facilities at the
Hermitage hotel which include a swimming pool, tennis court and
horseriding. Example: White Cottage sleeps 2/3 people. Entrance from
verandah which extends around the cottage, with sun loungers, a hammock
and white wrought -iron table and chairs. Sitting room with two chairs,
a single sofa-bed and a dining area. Bedroom with king-size 4-poster bed
and ceiling fan. En-suite dressing room and bathroom with bath, shower,
basin and WC. Modern kitchen with white tiles and units, large
fridge/freezer, oven/hob and cafetiere. Daily maid service included.

Nisbet Plantation
This beautiful retreat
was originally a sugar plantation dating
back to 1778 and was also, for a short while, home to Fanny Nisbet,
providing much of the wealth enjoyed by her and husband to be, Admiral
Nelson. Facilities include: snorkelling, beach bar, tennis, croquet,
library. Sunset heralds cocktails and canpes followed by gourmet
treats at the poolside restaurant. The weekly fish barbecue is not
